For firm-ground play, the Mercurial Vapor XVII Elite FG Cleats pair a full Flyknit upper with Atomknit side panels to deliver a lightweight, secure fit. The centerpiece is Nike Air Zoom propulsion, delivering a responsive lift with each touch to support quick, propulsive movements. A wave-like traction pattern and cascading studs increase surface contact for controlled grip during rapid accelerations.
The design features the tallest studs aligned with mid-row units to preserve traction through dynamic moves. Stud configurations include evolved chevron and blade profiles that work with the pattern to aid acceleration, deceleration, and swift cuts. Nike Gripknit sharpens ball feel at high speeds, while micromolding textures contour to the foot for reliable grip in varying weather. Together, these features create the thinnest Mercurial upper to date, bringing players closer to the ball and enabling faster reactions on the field.
